Brother Knights...

There is nothing that Jesus spoke against so frequently and hit so hard as the sin of selfishness, that sense that I am“Number One.”

Picture Jesus as he washes the disciples’ feet..

Picture Jesus on the cross.

Picture the scene in Matthew’s Gospel when Jesus tells of the final judgment and says to those assembled: “I was hungry, I was thirsty, I was a stranger, sick, naked, and you didn’t attend to my needs.”

Now imagine yourself saying, “But I had to take care of ME!”

This doesn’t fit when we say the Lord’s Prayer, and especially not when we gather around the Lord’s table.

“The Son of Man came to serve, not to be served,” Jesus tells us. And we who are called to follow Him must serve the least of our brothers and sisters in the same way.

Happy Spring, Brother Knights...

We are currently in our annual fish fries which are busier than ever with the large number of people showing up to eat. If you get a chance come down for a great meal or lend a hand in the cooking and serving; it’s every Friday during Lent except for Good Friday, five thirty to seven pm.

In our prayers keep the Pope as he transitions into retirement and the Cardinals in the Conclave.

Looking ahead, April 6th we will be having a spaghetti dinner for our members and their spouses. The state convention will be in Libby April 18th-20th. The April meeting will be Wednesday the 10th instead of Thursday due to some scheduling conflicts. In the month of May is Special Olympics, we will be sponsoring the BBQ again this year so we will need help with the cooking and serving Wednesday the 15.

We will be making a coat order later in March, if you are interested in buying a jacket with the Knights emblem with council number and your name we will have forms at the meeting in March.

Vivat Jesus,
Patrick Boehm
Grand Knight
